My Ikigai on behalf of 5* hotels in Paros, Santorini, Mykonos, Zakynthos, Ios and Crete is conducting the screening and interviewing process, in pursuit of experienced Head Waiters/resses, for their a la carte fine dining restaurants. This is a seasonal position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Excellent knowledge of all menus, including allergens, intolerances, and guests’ dietary preferences.
- Informing guests about and making suggestions on menu options, taking into consideration any allergens, intolerances and other dietary preferences of the guests.
- Overseeing the setting of tables, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining area, and ensuring it meets hotel standards.
- Managing guest orders, coordinating with the kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages, and ensuring orders are served accurately.
- Handling guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints efficiently, ensuring immediate and effective resolution to guarantee satisfaction.
- Actively participating in up-selling and cross-selling to achieve the hotel’s financial goals.
- Monitoring and managing inventory of dining supplies and beverages, ensuring stock levels are maintained and minimizing waste.
- Ensuring the implementation of health, safety, and hygiene standards, and overseeing the maintenance of a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Waiter/ress in a 5* hotel.
- Excellent knowledge of English language.
- Very good use of relevant hotel POS and billing software (Preferably Micros).
- Relevant knowledge of wines will be considered an additional asset.
- Very good interpersonal skills, team player, flexibility and guest orientation.
